About Seastainable Co.
Seastainable is a social environmental consultancy that supports marine conservation in Southeast Asia - particularly in the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, and Malaysia. We do this by encouraging individuals, business to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, and be increasingly aware of their impact on the environment and at the same time channeling our profits to environmental organizations in need. We initially started in 2017 focusing on our retail store to encourage reusables, however we have stopped our retail of products since 2021.
In 2022, we contributed over SGD $ 50,000 to over 50 conservation projects across 5 countries and impacted over 10,200 individuals in local communities through the Seastainable Grant since 2017.
Check out our annual reports here, or follow us on social media to sea our growing impact.
As an organization, we are committed to encouraging sustainability and environmental conservation in Southeast Asia through Seastainable events, workshops and talks to drive collective action. We continue to encourage sustainable living for individuals by providing sustainable alternatives to everyday disposable items through our online store.
Seastainable started with Sam's personal advocacy for marine conservation. Prior to founding Seastainable, Sam has constantly worked in the marine conservation field in both Philippines and Singapore since 2013. Through Seastainable, she aspires to continuously give back to organizations that are making a difference in the marine conservation community. Zero-waste is our Priority
All of our processes here, from procurement, manufacturing, to shipping, are carefully tailored to minimise our impact on the environment. We also work closely with our partners to ensure minimal waste is generated throughout the production process. We guarantee a zero plastic packaging shipment process, where we supplement mailing mediums with recycled polymailers and cardboard boxes. Our partners also take pride in upcycling materials to create their high quality products, so that minimal new material is taken from the environment.
