In tough times, we believe in the power of community — and as a community, we should all be responsible by prepping ourselves and being cautions for the safety of the people around you.
⠀
When you’re on the go, remember the necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, we're reminding everyone to stay hydrated and stay at home if you can. If you heading out be sure to disinfect and sanitize your reusables if you are dining out our using them for takeaway. Here are a few tips:
Cleaning your Seastainable Reusables
Our metal straws, metal utensils, are safe to sanitize with hot water and collapsible products made from silicone are safe to use with hot water up to 200°C. Additionally, you can submerge them in hot water with dishwashing soap or vinegar and baking soda. The same goes for our Seastainable Collapsible Bowls, Seastainable Collapsible Cups, and Wheatbox Sets.
Washing your Seastainable Tote after grocery shopping
As soon as you come home from public areas and markets, it is recommended to wash them immediately with an anti-bacterial soap to wash your Seastainable Tote with cold water. Since our totes are printed on recycled PET fabric with water-based ink, you do not need to worry about the tote's pattern fading or chipping away. Be reminded that using disposable items does not equate to a cleaner option--it's important to keep your hands away from your mouth, eyes, and nose after touching objects (Read more about zero-waste and sanitation hazards here).
Stay safe and sustainable: buy only what you need!
We’re also reminding everyone to please buy only if you need one. While it is easy to fall into consumerism in a time like this, we must remember to purchase realistically for our personal use and keep in mind to prioritize those who need supplies more than we do. ⠀
